I liked Theis. Plumlee was never 100% after his return. Once again, Lue “saw things” in Plumlee that no one else did.

Next year is going to be a bumpy ride.

Plumlee was always an awful defender/rim protector, but after the injury he looked like he had lost a couple steps.

I like Theis as a 3rd center. He was very solid for the Clippers and good things tended to happen when he was on the floor. He had a meaningful impact during the big Dec/Jan run.

We’ve seen more than enough of Plumlee and specifically Ty’s pension for overplaying Plumlee. Front office needs to take away Ty’s broken toys to protect him from himself. Theis on a minimum contract would be good; he can play backup C or some PF. We looked much better w/ Theis in Plumlee’s place while Plumlee was out injured.

He was okay, I am fine with bringing either Theis or Plumlee back at the minimum to be the backup center.

Hart (and Nico) was one of the few swings this FO made that actually worked out. I have zero faith that Frank will be able to ID good, cheap players going forward.

Re: Theis, he may not be better than Kai Jones, but he was a lot better than Mason for like 80% of the season, despite Ty largely benching him once Mason came back. Theis is perfectly serviceable in the right system, especially for a veteran’s minimum deal.
