Shame on the Clippers and especially LUE. Boston, Jr. isn’t the only example of wasted talent. Mann, Zu, Bones, Kobe, and Moussa are all examples of young players who have had their careers impeded. play them. Find out. If they can’t play, get rid of them. If they can, we’ll know.

Lue and Doc are the same. They both play old “has beens” who are well past their prime at the expense of young players.

If memory serves me right, it was an injury to someone that forced Doc to play SGA. SGA would have rotted on Doc’s bench if it wasn’t for that.

The Clipper “geezer squad” has no chance against OKC, T-Wolves, Dallas, Boston, Knicks, Rockets, Memphis, etc. I don’t believe they can make the playoffs.

The Clippers had the right idea last year when they were going younger. Of course that went out the window when they traded for Harden. At that moment, the Clippers became the “Geriatric Squad.”

The Clippers need to get younger, longer, and quicker now.

I can just imagine Thibs getting into PG every day and driving him to be more committed. I don’t know how he would handle it at this age/stage of his career, but it would be an interesting experiment to observe.

I haven’t been the biggest Brandon Boston Jr fan, but there have been flashes of his talent here and there. Also, after watching OKC this year and in their 2nd round loss to Dallas, I think he has more actual basketball talent than a lot of the guys who got minutes on that team. He can be a long defender against smaller guards. He has the ability to get his own shot. He has a decent handle. I think the issue with him is refinement, decision making, shot selection. He often plays dumb, selfish basketball but that can be attributed to aways being in garbage lineups. If he had Xavier Moon’s basketball IQ, he’d be a regular NBA rotation player. If I were another team looking for talent on the cheap, I might go pick him up. As it stands with the Clippers, the fact that we’re still committed to a bunch of old guys and, worse, pandering to their needs and tastes, makes it unlikely he’ll develop with LAC.

There’s plenty to criticize Ty for regarding rotations for but IMO BBJ has had time and I see him as barely an NBA player.

That’s an OK Thunder player spec right there. Boston looked good his rookie season and the rest is (Ty Lue ) history. There’s a place for him on this roster with Westbrook leaving and Bones getting time at PG. Boston was also victim to LFranks small ball vision of a roster. Add a couple of PowerForwards and Boston’s role increases.

Like you say it would be nice to know one way or another. Ty clearly undervalues younger players while boosting veterans as evidenced by the benching of Boston, Bones, Coffey and KB, underusing Terence and Zu, while overplaying guys like Mook, Russ and PJ. Maybe he’s too close in age to some of these guys and it’s awkward to not play them. If that’s the case there’s yet another reason he needs to go. I’d be on the phone with Nori’s people stat if it were up to me. Time for a non-player’s coach who’s not inclined to favoritism.

Joseph Raya-Ward is my new hero. Has the guts to just call the shit show for what it is.
