That way I’m not having to play hide n seek with the family trying to duck into another room to watch it. The schedule release is a serious reminder of why we will need to go more than 12 players deep if we want to have a shot at the 1 or 2 seed. Am confident TL can keep egos in check and legs fresh.

Usually just looking at b2b’s and road trips. Most seasons, winning 2 – 3 more games can be the difference between being higher or lower by 2 seeds. My assumption is that all the shit schedules we’ve been given since being in LA will go away once we get to the new stadium.

Of course lakers have like 7-8 lol
Also I counted up playoff teams and non playoff teams in each schedule (lakers and clippers)
And good thing is they seem to have to play more playoff-playin teams throughout the season then we do which maybe evens it out a bit? Obviously I’m not worried or focused on the lakers but I’m always interested to see how the league favors there favorite sons.
Also seems like we have a good chance to come out the gate against some mediocre talent
And cushion a nice little record to start the season hopefully.
I’m sure flom/Lucas are working on there season schedule breakdown right now as we speak
To give us the exact numbers of toughness of schedule etc.
props to them as it seems like a headache to gather all that info up and dissect it , but hey that’s why these guys write here and we fans
Get to reep the benefits! God bless 213 thanks guys

I’ve never been a big Barton fan either, just too streaky and always felt like an irrational confidence guy. Still Morris played a huge role for them, started nearly every game last season. Just seems crazy to trade him. Maybe Morris straight up for KCP I could see, but having to trade the starting backcourt of a playoff team, just feels like a lot. Maybe I’m underrating Ish Smith as a backup too, who I’ve always liked, but feels like has been in the NBA forever.

I’m just surprised Atlanta would trade away Cam Reddish for Knox, then let Knox walk out the door. Would think they would still have similar value as both haven’t shown much in the NBA yet. People still talk about Reddish as like a budding star in waiting. Just feels like maybe they could have resigned him and traded him for a 2nd round pick or something. I don’t know how someone is paid to evaluate players and takes a guy like Knox over Mikal and Miles Bridges, SGA, and MPJ. But I guess Knox lasted longer in the NBA than Jerome Robinson.

Offensively Barton can do more, but do you really want him creating or playmaking when he’s not *that good* at it? KCP is definitely a better fit in Denver, though I do think Barton will be ok in DC.

For Dejounte, completely agree on Spurs selling high – smart of them. I love Huerter, but I don’t think Knox is an NBA guy at all, so meh.

Maybe I’ve always just underrated KCP since his rather poor start to his career. I mean the Lakers sure missed him last year. But feels like KCP for Barton is a pretty lateral move, and to have to give up Morris, one of the better backup PG in the league, feels like kind of a lot. Rare we see same-position for position trades in the NBA, but in this case, I think the Nuggets got the worse end of that deal. Funny, last same position for position trade I remember was Nurkic for Plumlee, which also feel like the Nuggets got the short end of. I’m sure there are many others I just can’t remember. Obviously this trade isn’t a big needle mover, but maybe more for the Nuggets, who want to be a contender and really can’t afford to get worse, I’m still not sure why they made that move.

The Murray trade for the Hawks I think was a little too much to give up. I agree that Murray just is not a great offensive player. I think the fit is on the defensive end makes some sense, add a defensive guard to better hide Trey. But feels like the Spurs sold high on a guy that was featured to do everything on a bad team. The heel turn Dejounte took this summer also has me questioning his maturity and if that’s also a reason why the Spurs were willing to let him go. I found it strange the Hawks would go “all in” getting Dejounte and then trade Heurter for a pick and let Wright and Knox walk. I mean I understand why you trade a guy before you have to pay him, not sure Heurter looks as good making like $16M, and Knox just hasn’t’ been good in the NBA, but still talent walking out the door for nothing when you’re supposedly trying to be a good team.
