I’d absolutely be willing to send the Blazers PG13 for the #3 pick (and expirings) to let them continue to hope that they can build a contender around Dame. Honestly I’d much rather do that than gut the rest of the roster and give up our precious few remaining draft assets for Dame. Dame + PG13 + Kawhi would be great, yea, but between load management and actual injuries, they’d probably only play in like 15 games together.

I like Lawrence Frank and I generally agree with his theory of the case. Where I fault him is not being more of an alpha and taking firmer control of the team to impose his vision. He has indulged and deferred too much to the players and coaching staff and the results have not been good. A big error was not re-signing Hartenstein and instead giving that spot to Wall. That’s not something he was inclined to do, but he gave in to the demands of the players and Lue. That 1 move killed the season. Had he stuck with his instincts, I think the Clippers probably would’ve been a 48-50 win team this past season. I also suspect that we would not have worn down our veterans or exposed PG to a higher injury risk.

Outside of the early moves (i.e. CP3/Blake trades, Zu, 213 duo), I’d argue the FO has been mediocre. The draft track record spanned from SGA to Jerome. The move for Norm was great because we got him for “nothing,” but the FO traded up for and spent our MLE on that “nothing.” Also Wall over Hart, spending another MLE on a washed/injured Serge, letting Wenyen go when he could’ve been a huge help, not signing a backup C better than Moses Brown. The FO hasn’t been awful, but they’ve committed enough mistakes to deserve to be criticized just like everyone else employed by this franchise right now.

I mean sure, that’s understandable – we’re *all* frustrated by their injury situations. But that doesn’t mean he had to fucking play MM regardless of who else was available, play 4/5 guard lineups, get snippy and/or troll when asked legitimate questions and basically give the fans the middle finger.
