If they runnin it back with moves along the edges I think I’d rather move some of our expirings along with our 30th on draft night for a cheaper/less years on contract derozan over beal. But even then with kawhi load managing injuries and Ty’s down year on coaching I’m still 100% in rebuild mode if we can get scoot and some young guys / picks back for pg13 and kawhi. If they can’t you just gotta hope without contract extensions we don’t end up losing even more value in a trade later on this upcoming season if kawhi and pg13 see the writing on the wall and try and screw us.

I’d prefer to trade for KAT if we’re making those kinds of big moves, but Beal can probably be acquired for a fairly cheap cost because his contract is so big that Washington can’t over demand as their goal is to unload that recurring salary. Clippers could theoretically make a trade without involving Terance Mann (my preference) to acquire Beal because they have expiring contracts. That said, Miami and Philly are going to bid hard for his services so the Clippers would probably have to throw in Norm Powell (which would be fine because Beal is a better player at a similar position/role). I’m doubtful the Clippers would take that big of a swing, but I do think Beal is someone that PG and Kawhi would respect on the court and that might result in more ball movement, better decision making and better execution. Beal would really be good on a quality team where he can be the crunch time alpha dog. Let’s see what happens, but Beal is a big piece who can have a major impact on the NBA depending on where he goes. Beal + Butler would make Miami the favorite in the East, imho, for example.

Clippers keep trying to draft niche bigs instead of bigs who have a well rounded game. Zubac has paid off in spades. Vukcevic can shoot, handle the rock, move around the floor and would give our front line some real size. Ty Lue could even ‘go small’ with Vuk at the 4/5 because he can space the floor….but let’s talk Beal!

Pre-injury/prime Walton was definitely Joker’s equal, and probably better because he was a better athlete but with the same analytical skill for reading the game on the fly and making good decisions.

Reluctantly, because Walton’s passing was impeccable. Some have said he could have been the greatest center ever but for the physical problems.

Plus it traps us w/ Beal’s albatross of a contract.

I just…I know Ballmer isn’t going to do it, but I really, really would be doing everything possible to get Scoot. I’d *much* rather focus on opening up Intuit w/ hope and optimism instead of focusing on trying to leave the Crypt on a high note.

Trayce seems like a guy you love to have on the team, no matter how much playing time or the role he plays for.
When I go watch Jordan Hawkins highlight, I have always been attracted by Andre Jackson’s selfless plays and also their athletic big man in Adama Sanogo.
Dude seems to be playing so well for them and looks like a guy who try hard to improve his shot.
Wouldn’t mind him at 48th.

I just imagine winger has to take the best and most young talent possible for a full rebuild that he can unless beal just straight up asks to be traded to only team that has very limited assets!
