Memphis was not the same team without Steven Adams. They just weren’t a top 2 seed without him.

Kings I thought would give us a series, but we played them tough, and they did show some playoff inexperience. If the Warriors were able to beat them, I think the Clips could’ve too.

Who knows, the Clips looks pretty bad at times too, but I think they were playing their best ball of the season right before PG got hurt.

Basically though the west is as wide open as ever. Nuggets are the lone team that has kind of separated themselves from the pack, but not remarkably so. As painful as this team was to watch at times this season, it’s not some huge leap to get to that contender status. Some minor tweaks to the roster, and the Clips should be contenders next season. I’m hoping for some major tweaks that might put them more towards the favorite in the west, but even if those big changes don’t come, they should at least be competitive in the west.

No, you forget the reason we had no center was Ty Lue wanted John Wall. Ty Lue had his small ball center and could’ve used him along with Coffey at 3 or 4 instead of throwing RoCo under the bus with all guards.

Boston, whatever, but Coffey should’ve played more. Instead of 3-4 guard lineups, Ty should’ve put in Coffey.

It’s baffling for a coach to be SO fixated on offense and be willing to throw defense out the door, but fail to actually make an offense.

I remember noting back in December/January how the Nuggets appeared to be better coached and more disciplined than the Clippers. Jokic’s durability and consistency always made them a tough out. Only issue for them, in my view, was their bench and how Murray would hold up through the season. Except for a couple of rough games vs Phoenix, Murray has been playing at a very high level. The rotation is 7 deep and solid, with Bruce Brown really adding that x-factor punch for them off the bench.

In this series vs the Lakers, the Lakers did a good job on Jokic. They held him below his scoring/shooting percentage averages after the first half of Game 1 and had a chance to win every game in the series because of that effort. It was really Murray’s explosive performances in Games 2/3 and to close out Game 4 that made the difference for the Nuggets.

Frank’s comment regarding “respecting the regular season” is a direct shot at Lue.

Covington, Mann, Coffey, Kennard and yes, Boston all got screwed over by Lue.

The Clippers reached the playoffs because of overall talent not due to Lue’s coaching.

The Clippers would win 5 in a row and Lue would screw with the rotations and immediately lose 5.

Just dump Morris right now. If his contract can be included in a trade. ok.

Do not re-sign Westbrook.

This is going to sound super douche but putting a competitive team together is like playing chess with father time. Our franchise is always just one year too late. Serge Ibaka probably best illustrates this but there’s many other examples. Paul Pierce. Kawhi Leonard. Bill Walton. And so on and so forth.
