Resigning Plumlee at a MLE type deal is a no brainer, especially on a 2-3 year deal. He converts into salary cap filler towards the end of the deal but based on other similar players he should age pretty well.

G Rap’s comment is harsh but true.

I can’t get past the truth that our two best players are not capable of being fit enough to play at full strength when we need them. It sickens me, but it is the truth.

So, what do we do? Trade one or both?

Usually, I’m full optimist, but this current situation with the Clippers — much imbalance, indeed.

I don’t see Steve B. or the Clippers being rash and cutting ties with Coach Lue. Look how they treated Doc — with respect and dignity, but in reality, most teams would quickly have fired Doc, the next day.

However, it doesn’t mean that Ty Lue and the Clippers can reach an understanding — Ty wants an extension, and maybe, the Clippers do not give him one. Wouldn’t it be better for both parties to seek another team?

I would be highly surprised if Ty is still our coach when training camp opens.

And I suspect you and I agree that Lue’s not gonna be shown the door. In fact, I think the team will do whatever PG and KL want them to do (and I’m thinking they want Lue to stick around). These guys may as well own the team. So I’m resigned to Lue but I’m not resigned to seeing Mook back. That’s the biggest issue for me — even bigger than bringing back Russ.

Agreed, but Coach Lue has not shown any ability to balance the entire team to get us through the season with our two injury prone stars.
