I’m gonna be optimistic and say that the reason the FO didn’t go out and try to sign Garuba after he was released is because they have faith Moose can fill that role. I get that he’s essentially a complete non-factor offensively outside of dunks and put-backs, but after watching our retirement home rotation at PF last season I couldn’t help but wish for more minutes for Moose. I don’t expect he’ll get much run this season unless we can find a way to unload 1-2 of our veteran PFs, but I hope he can show that he’s taken a step forward skills-wise in the G-League.

We’ve seen this situation before – James Harden is one of the GOATs at forcing his way off of teams (along w/ Kyrie). If he really wants off of the Sixers at all costs, I trust that he knows what he’s doing. I trust his ability to demand a trade more than I trust his basketball ability in the playoffs lol

I think we’re all a little bewildered that Moose didn’t take a step further last season. His motor, athletic ability and instincts are amazing and by all accounts he seems like a bright young lad. Too bad there isn’t a Dennis Rodman camp for kids like this like there is with Hakeem and bigs.

Moose will find playing time from his hustle and energy, albeit inconsistently.
He may not be big enough to hang with the big boys but he’s fast and agile enough to keep opposing bigs to be aware of him.

It is to JH’s benefit to come into camp and be productive and play really well. Morey will have a better chance at getting a better return in a trade.
