It’s just absurd to me that people would be like: “He can score, but he hasn’t shown me he can work the high pick and roll or rebound.” Seriously? Being a lockdown defender is clearly the next most important facet but SCORING the ball is above all the most critical skill—especially in today’s game. I say all of this because of the over-abundance of caution regarding Boston and him “only being a scorer” is just laughable. He’s got length and quickness so he will eventually do everything else well too. But we need to stop acting like he’s borderline G-league material when clearly we have a diamond in the not so rough. Fortunately Lue and his teammates know this as evidenced by their feeding him the ball relentlessly so he’s going to be brought along rather aggressively IMO. He’s skinny and he fouls too much and makes some wet-behind-the-ears turnovers. But watch out. Of all the things that the Logo has brought this may end up being the most brilliant.

  • I’m not sure if it’s the coaching staff or that Justise just has very little utility on offense. He can pass, but his lack of shooting and scoring ability makes it very hard to leverage that.
  • It’s possible Boston gets minutes – I wouldn’t be opposed – but there would need to be other injuries for him to crack the rotation.

  • I haven’t seen anything to make me think Scrubb is really ready for NBA minutes. He hasn’t looked awful, but offense is his calling card, and he hasn’t stood out there.
