It’s tough, because Lonzo is a definite upgrade over what we have at PG but is it enough of one to give up a player and asset as valuable as Zu?

If the FO believes batum can recruit Aldridge or somebody else recruit Drummond on a buyout deal then it’s Zu for lonzo and Aldridge/Drummond/possibly mgee and the added chance that this helps the team that much more in chasing the chip.

It would have to be a three team deal, probably with Zu going elsewhere, that team sending a better fitting asset to NO, and the Clippers getting Lonzo.

Unfortunately it’s very hard to see a Lonzo trade happening. The only real asset the Clippers have is Zu, and he’s not necessarily a great fit with Zion. And from the Clippers perspective, I wouldn’t trade Zu for Lonzo

I think the package would be
Zu Patterson FI Mann plus a bevy of seconds for lonzo.
Pellies end up releasing Patterson who goes to the lakers and ends up killin us lol jk
And maybe they release FI or see what he has the rest of season before releasing him.

No worries. I just wrote it off as a drunken rant.

Now as to Lonzo. It just may be that Luke is not playing now because the FO wants him to be part of a trade for Lonzo (i.e. don’t take a chance damaging the merch). I saw one involving 2Pat, Luke, Fi and picks for Lonzo and another player. It also may be that Pellies are growing weary of LaVar’s proclamations.
