Not in terms of his skill set. I meant in terms of his role in his college team. He was asked to play a role (@ BC if I recall) that would be nothing like his role in the NBA. And then to expect you’ll see the same Jerome in the NBA. I would have the same expectations for Cooper; to not resemble the player we saw in college.

If the plan is to make Coffey a real roster guy this year as a 5th SG/SF (PG, Mann, Kennard, new acquisition, Coffey, and injured Kawhi as the 6th guy), then they’ll have an open 2-way slot for next year, so it would make sense if they wanted to buy a 2nd rounder and put that guy in that role.

Good to know, hopefully if we draft garuba he got some money stacked away to buy himself out, unless he’s aloud to take a loan from somebody not connected? A mob boss seems perfectly logical for these youngsters to deal with! Lol
Otherwise I guess only other option is to honor his contract.
Maybe with player empowerment they shouldn’t allow a team to buy a guy out and force the player to just lose all that’s owed to him.
