It’s a huge fallacy to belive any pro b ball team will ever be 100% healthy. Have to give it to the Raptors last yr for basically pulling that off but that was a rarity. It’s a grueling sport where guys can go down even without contact. I know these guys are great young athletes but the nature of the game trumps all that. That’s why teams like the clips have an edge amassing great depth.

Speaking of depth, really like to see a lil more of 2Pat, Mann and even McGruder. Those guys have to be fresh as daisies right about now. If those 3 were Blazers now, they’d be playing big minutes.

Can’t wait for PG to come thru for us. But I wonder if his shooting’s been off in practice???

Still think he’s fine as a backup point guard, but because PatBev’s injury he’s had to step into a much bigger role (even coming off the bench like today). If PatBev soaks up 30 min, you really don’t have to have a lot of minutes for Reggie/Shamet. Will be interesting who grabs those minutes, once everyone, god willing, is healthy.

Luka rolled his ankle, Dame dislocated a finger. Nobody’s happy that these things happened but to pretend it’s somehow luck for one team vs another is just spending a long time doing a calculus that is as pointless as it is impossible

When Pat is back and playing 30+ minutes, it’s a lot easier to find balanced lineups. I’m not sure we’ll ever get it but I don’t necessarily think Lou and Trez should play a lot together defensively in the playoffs, especially since they won’t get to just play non-stop PnR like in the regular season. But we definitely have the bodies to not play Landry and Green at the same time as them and keep 3/4 of Pat/PG/Kawhi/Morris in the game when Zu is out.

I also really think there’s no reason to be scared to use Rodney as a utility guy to give you 2-3 minutes to bridge between lineups

We’re “lucky” Porzingis got ejected and Luka got hurt huh? Well, the Warriors were lucky Steph’s ankles didn’t shatter after all his early injury struggles. The Spurs were lucky to be able to draft Tim Duncan. And the Lakers were lucky LeBron wanted to have his son in prep hoops around here and chose to join the Lakers despite the fact that their organization has been a roaring tire fire since 2010. I hope Dame hangs 60 on them tonight.

Up 2-1 with Paul George playing like Paul Pierce. I’ll take it.

Hopefully they can still turn things around. Still a lot not to like about this past game, but they were able to shoot the ball well enough to overcome their defensive problems. Loved way less fouls and refs actually let them play basketball in this game.

Clips had a pretty hot night shooting (outside of PG), with even Shamet making them. Last year, I just always assumed Shamet’s shots were going in, to this year, I just assume they’re going out. I feel like something is not right with him. Even his shots look more like a push shot and way less fluid than used to be. He needs to get back in the gym with JJ.
