That was probably the runner up. The award was supposed to go to Derrick Walton Jr. For his performance against Sacramento, but it was NYE of 2019.

The only other game that I can really think of outside of the ones you already ID’ed would be the last game of the bubble before the playoffs started – OKC vs. LAC (8/14). I’d give it something like “best performance in a meaningless game” and give the award to Mann for his near triple-double (25/14/9) – this was one of the games that has me hopeful that he can develop into a rotation-level player eventually.

best part of 2020 is that is is over. Hello to a better 2021 for the Clippers and for the rest of the world.

Hey I’m glad you like the idea. I wouldn’t mine doing something like this annually. In a normal year we would have more of the current season’s games to look back at, but it is what it is.

Are there any different games or performances that you think are worthy of these awards?

Love this idea for an annual recap – solid work, Cole. I wish I had something for substantive to add here, but this year has seriously felt like 10 years and I’m honestly having trouble remembering what things were like pre-pandemic…
