However, if you email me (LucasHann at 213Hoops dot com) from the email address associated w/ the account, I can do a manual reset on the back end and give you the new password to your old account.

Then look at the defense, the playoff performance, the versatility, the injury insurance he provides as he can carry a heavy load in the regular season. Russ ain’t going for the minimum. Depending on the team and fit, he’s between a quality 6th man and a starting point guard role. I don’t want Russ to prioritise money but talk about a minimum contract is disrespectful to how he has performed, especially with the Clippers and especially when they needed him most.

Hope everybody here has been doing well…

Awesome work, Robert! Loved reading it. On the trades:

Trade 1: Wouldn’t do it for two reasons. A) Helping a Western Conference foe. B) Team is getting worse and I don’t think Simons is a guy to retool around. Potentially good player but you can get better for Paul George, see…

Trade 2: This one I’d do if it includes one potentially good 1st round pick. PG goes to the East, Harris is expiring, Maxey in my opinion is both the better and more proven young player. This trade gives the Clippers the flexibility to both deal with the new CBA restrictions and remain flexible. My only concern here: Kawhi. Do you have to trade him as well and get younger altogether, starting a rebuild around Maxey plus x? Given the contract situation I think you would have to. And I’d be okay with it, even at the price tag of throwing away a theoretical shot at a championship. It’s just too unlikely and comes with too much baggage, injuries, load management and being at the mercy of players’ decisions. But there’s a small chance at a ring so I’m fine with either trade 2 plus a Kawhi trade or running it back/doing a different trade.

Trade 3: Hell no! Trading for LaVine and throwing away a bunch of picks? Why? Paul George is more valuable than Zach LaVine and he didn’t bring picks back in your proposal. Why would you give up multiple 1sts for LaVine? He’s also injury-prone. Phenomenal scorer/shooter and athlete but there’s absolutely nothing else he excels at. Massive overpay, hard pass.

Trade 4: No. The two reasons: A) KAT’s track record. B) I firmly believe two stars plus quality role-players is the way to win under the new CBA, 3 star players is less likely to work if they are all on massive contracts.

Trade 5: Definitely yes. A clear upgrade and a star in his role in return, mobile, phenomenal shot-blocker, excellent finisher on a very good contract. The type of move that brings the Clippers closer to a championship.

Trade 6: Hell no again. Ayton is massively overpaid and when you look closer, not even a star. Jarrett Allen is a better, more consistent player on a much better contract with no baggage. Also: you can’t have character questions around Kawhi and PG. You need guys whose first priority is winning – and Ayton has already put personal interests over winning. Hard pass. Zubac on his contract plus money for other players is a better package than having Ayton alone.

Trade 7: no-brainer. Yes!

Trade 8: depends on free agency. If the Clippers lack a point guard (which is likely), yes. Not a needle mover though. Meh

Trade 9: I get it, Rozier can get hot and is quite a bit younger. But Gordon is just so much better and so much more versatile. Age doesn’t count here, quality gap is too big. No.

Trade 10: Not sure what to make of Toppin. Could be interesting but not up there with the really intriguing trades.

Jarrett Allen should top this list imo. Followed by DeAndre Hunter. Not ruling out trading Paul George but there’s gotta be a quality player plus a pick in it, even with just 1+1 remaining, PG is too good to go for less.

He’s def a guy you gamble on. The upside he can bring this team is huge + you gotta trade Sr.

Need another alternative that can create for themselves. Compliment is understandable, that’s where Zu comes in. At least you can have a big lineup of Man, Pg13, Kawhi, Kat and Zu.

If one gets injured again during or before the playoffs at least we’ll have another option for scoring.

I’d rather have someone who could complement Kawhi/PG by playing stellar defense and setting screens. A line up with PG/Kawhi/Mann/Batum and Gobert would be amazing on defense.

Also, Gobert is a much much better rebounder than KAT.
